Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Tasskel, LLC. ("Tasskel," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard information when you visit tasskel.com (the "Site"), create an account, or use the Tasskel platform, applications, integrations, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information processed by Tasskel as a controller (for Site visitors, prospects, and account holders) and as a processor (for personal data that our business customers submit through the Services about their end users, contacts, employees, or customers — "Customer Data"). When Tasskel processes Customer Data on behalf of a business customer, that customer is the controller and its privacy notice governs the collection of that data; this Policy describes our processing practices as a service provider.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account & profile: name, email, password (hashed), phone number, job title, company, workspace details.
- Billing: billing address, tax identifiers, and limited payment metadata. Card numbers are collected and stored by our PCI-compliant payment processor, not by Tasskel.
- Content: messages, mailboxes, calendar events, contacts, files, notes, tasks, automations, prompts, and other content you upload or create in the Services.
- Support & communications: messages you send to us, survey responses, and interactions with our teams.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device & log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, and crash diagnostics.
- Usage: feature usage, clicks, session duration, error events, and product telemetry.
- Cookies & similar technologies: see Section 8.
2.3 Information from third parties and integrations
- Authentication providers (e.g., Google) share basic profile data when you sign in.
- Integrations you enable (e.g., QuickBooks Online, WhatsApp Business, mail providers, OpenSRS, calendaring) share data with the Services under permissions you grant. Your use of those third-party services remains governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- Referrals, marketing partners, and public sources may provide business contact information for prospecting.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services;
- Authenticate users and administer workspaces and roles;
- Process transactions, invoices, and subscriptions;
- Deliver customer support, respond to requests, and send service communications;
- Improve, personalize, and develop new features, including internal analytics and quality assurance;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Send marketing communications (which you can opt out of at any time);
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract — to provide the Services you request.
- Legitimate interests — to secure, improve, and market our Services in a proportionate way.
- Consent — where required (e.g., certain cookies, marketing in some regions).
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.
5. AI Features
The Services include AI-assisted features (e.g., drafting, summarization, classification, automation). When you use these features:
- Prompts and relevant context may be transmitted to Tasskel-managed models or approved subprocessor model providers to generate a response.
- Tasskel does not use Customer Data to train foundation models for other customers.
- AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for business, legal, financial, medical, or safety decisions.
6. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below:
- With your workspace: content and activity within a workspace is visible to other authorized members and administrators of that workspace.
- Subprocessors & service providers: cloud hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, error reporting, customer support, payment processing, and AI model providers acting under written contracts and confidentiality obligations.
- Integrations you enable: data is transmitted to and from third-party services at your direction (e.g., Intuit for QuickBooks Online, mail hosts, messaging platforms).
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to customary confidentiality protections.
- Legal & safety: to comply with law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tasskel, users, or the public.
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed at the time.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.
7. International Data Transfers
Tasskel is headquartered in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country not deemed adequate, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism, and we implement supplementary measures where appropriate.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Site and authenticate sessions, and optional analytics and preference cookies to improve the Services. You can control cookies through your browser and, where required, through an in-product consent tool. Blocking necessary cookies may impair core functionality.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of data, its purpose, and applicable law. When you delete content or terminate your account, we delete or de-identify associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required or permitted by law.
10. Security
We employ administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive tokens and secrets, access controls, least-privilege permissions, workspace-level Row Level Security, logging, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for protecting your credentials and for configuring your workspace appropriately.
11. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information;
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Request data portability;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Opt out of marketing communications;
- Appeal a decision regarding your request.
To exercise your rights, contact privacy@tasskel.com. If your information is Customer Data, we will refer you to the applicable business customer (controller) or, at their direction, assist them in responding.
U.S. state privacy rights (CA, VA, CO, CT, UT, and others)
Residents of certain U.S. states may have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/share/targeted advertising and certain profiling. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. Authorized agents may submit requests with documented authorization.
12. Children
The Services are intended for use by businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-Party Sites & Integrations
The Services link to and integrate with third-party sites and services (including Intuit's QuickBooks Online). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of third parties.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Services or by email. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
